Curator, National Historical Museum of Greece
Filippos Mazarakis-Ainian studied classical archeology and protection of Historical Monuments and Settlements. He has been an associate of the European Committee in the Cultural Sector and since 1998 he has been working at the National Historical Museum. He is in charge of publications and exhibitions of the collections he is the curator of, (pre-industrial weapons and architectural plans), as well as of issues of national history and international relations. He represents the Museum in the International Association of Historical Museums (ΙAMH) and in the International Committee for Museums and Collections of Archaeology and History (ICMAH-ICOM) as well as in collaboration projects with UNESCO and the European Council. He has co-organised numerous conferences focusing on the leading edge of studies of modern social history. He is the coordinator of the digital activities of the museum.
