Director of the Benaki Museum Shops
Despina Geroulanou studied at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Aritstotle University of Thessaloniki and at the Drama School of the Greek Art Theatre Karolos Koun. She has worked in theatre and in cinema with Dimitris Horn, Nikos Panayotopoulos and Theodoros Angelopoulos. She has attended classes of design and jewelry in Paris and in 1991 she launched her 1st solo exhibition of sculpture and jewelry in Athens. Other solo and group exhibitions followed. She directs the museum shops since, reorganizing the shop of the old museum and establishing 3 new shops. She has curated a series of exhibitions and events for applied arts and design and she has designed objects and promotion material for the shops. She is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Benaki Museum.
